Actress/Model turned Decorator Whitney Able Melnick has travelled from coast-to-coast and internationally for the majority of her life. All that relocating made for over “10,000 hours” of making magic at home or for events — on the fly. Wherever she roamed, she made quick transformations of self and space possible, from styling her wardrobe for A list red carpet events, throwing parties in a pinch, and setting up home and work spaces in new places. With needs for both finery and economic temporary solutions, Whitney delved into every direction for clever sourcing. It is her belief that as it is with fashion, high/low designing as a principle, makes easy everyday living possible in inventive and inviting spaces. A self-coined “spacial and experiential aesthetician”, she can work within any parameters of location, budget, and need. She’s the Swiss Army Knife of transformational living, having witness her diplomat mother’s work as the director of social affairs (i.e.pro party thrower) at an embassy in her younger years, and other work as a fundraiser for top charities, owner of an invitation service and manager of the elite social directory of Houston, TX. R2PxDESIGN is her solution to answer the call for those that would ask… it’s finally here for you to access.
